Helikon-Tex Raider® Black Backpack

The main focus of the design work for this advanced backpack was quick and easy accessibility to essential items, whether for everyday carry (EDC) or short hikes, and it can also be used as a tactical backpack. The backpack features comfortable, profiled straps, a rigid back panel, and a hip belt for added support and comfort.

The main chamber of the backpack is equipped with a Velcro panel, allowing for the attachment of inserts compatible with the Versatile Insert System. This chamber also includes an elastic band-lined pocket and a zippered pocket. The front of the backpack is covered with a "Beaver tail" panel, which can hold a biking, climbing, or tactical helmet. If the backpack is being used solely for EDC, the flap can be simply rolled and secured, eliminating the need to unbuckle it every time something needs to be accessed.

The front of the pack also features a soft-lined pocket for sunglasses or electronics, and Velcro panels allow for the attachment of additional Versatile Insert System-compatible inserts. An organizer pocket for small items is situated at the top of the backpack and can be accessed independently, without the need to open the main chamber.

The backpack has a total capacity of 20 liters and a durable, padded top carrying handle. The top organizer pocket includes internal sleeves and access to a removable aluminum lumbar support. The main compartment features an oversized, two-way YKK zipper, a large inner hook panel for modular inserts, a hydration elastic sleeve pocket, and a large zipped mesh pocket.

The front "Beaver tail" panel has quick-release compression straps, outer and inner Molle loops, elastic sides, and drainage on the bottom. A front zip compartment is provided for sunglasses. The backpack also features a large hook-and-loop front panel for patches or IDs, and side Molle plates for additional attachments. The side pockets are hydration-compatible, with elastic inlets and drainage on the bottom.

The backpack includes a zipped pocket with a removable rain cover, and the back is heavily padded with air mesh and a removable aluminum carrier. The quick-release system is coverable and adjustable.
